 Recently, My life has a little bit changed

My title has become wider. ECU hardware engineer and security manager. to prepare automotive cybersecurity, I spent my time and effort for Cybersecurity.

During 2 months, I got much information about Cybersecurity, and Korea is not enough. I mean no one cares about security in the Automotive industry. Decision makers are not clear, they just tend to waste time. It is really hard to let them understood. they have no ears to hear, have no idea to think new items. But the rule is a rule, I need to find the methods to solve this stuck situation.

I started to activity to make network and connection with the external world. this Isolated island makes me have narrow sight and idea, so I joined ISO/SAE 21434 revision working group in Korea and joined HMG columnist. I will share many ideas and information with them and I think I am able to talk with external channel easier than before.

I realized that I have to think about this, no more waste of time, there are too many things that I have to do, get knowledge, make the network, complete my new project and support my family. while I study and learn cybersecurity, USA and Europe are already gone far. I need to follow them and overtake them. well, I decided to do my best for my goals, I will attain all of them.

Blog, I supposed to make it for sharing knowledge, but now it seems that I post my thinking and life. I will be back with good posts to contain new information and Idea.

IDEA

Conventional mode or maunal mode for EV

Europe driver prefers to drive cars that have a manual gearbox, nevertheless, EV does NOT have a gearbox. this period is not focused on emotional quality in the EV market, I think if the EV market is matured, drivers will desire emotional quality like shifting feeling and engine noise perhaps. So I propose an idea to meet their desire for a conventional car's mood and experiences. 

EV has a "conventional mode or classic mode" If you activate this mode, buttons of PRND is faded out, but you will see the Gear lever that contains 6 speeds gears and reverse gear. Of course, this EV has a Clutch pedal and Sound module that can make engine sounds. 

The ECU has logic to pretend manual gear vehicle's act. For example, when you put the gear to 1st gear, even though you push acceleration pedal full throttle, you can experience only 20~ 30km/h vehicle speed and noisy engine sound like manual gear vehicle does. 

And, the term between gears, if we apply delay time or Regenerative braking short time, you will realize the shifting feel. then you will feel the pleasure of driving. what do you think about this Idea?

Good morning strangers!

I haven't uploaded the blog for 2 weeks. I faced my tasks so I couldn't write what I was supposed to.


Over 10 posts are still writing.

Currently, I am testing my second ECU samples. It takes much time, oops, to meet my project milestone, I needed to focus on my task.
I don't know why all project makes "unintended" problems and "unexpected" situations, but yeah, it is common, we need to receive it and overcome it.


I have a plan to write about this. I want to share my experiences as much as I can. (you know we can't talk about everything, don't you?)


It is May. We(Koreans) call the may " the month of the family"," the queen of months" I wish everybody has good luck and have amazing good news with your own family.
